    Splash Pad Features and Equipment

We build with Rain Deck splash pad equipment. Here is what you can choose from, from the jets set into the pad to the features kids run under. Not sure where to start? Most families pick 8–12 ground jets and one or two above-ground features.

    In the ground

    Ground jets and spray nozzles

Ground jets sit flush with the surface, so the pad is flat and safe to walk on when the water is off. A controller fires them in zones to create patterns that change as kids play.

    Adjustable jets

    Shower and bubbler nozzles
Gentle, low sprays that are perfect for toddlers.
    Triple shooters
Three streams from one nozzle for a busier spray pattern.
    Rings and rows of water
Groups of jets that fire in a circle or line, often sequenced by the controller.

    Controls

    Activation, lighting and surfaces

    How the water turns on

    • Push-button timer: press to run for a set time. Included standard.
    • Ground sensor: water starts when someone steps on a spot in the pad.
    • Post activator: a colorful post kids press to start the show.

    LED lighting

Kits of 4 to 10 color LED lights, plus lighted nozzles, turn the pad into an evening feature that looks great even when nobody is playing.

    Surfaces

Broom-finish concrete, cool-deck coating, stamped concrete, or poured rubber in more than a dozen colors. Compare surfaces.

    Common questions

How many features should I add?

Most families start with 8–12 in-ground jets and one or two above-ground features. A 40-inch water mushroom is the most popular first pick, because it gives toddlers a gentle shower and older kids something to run under. Each feature adds water flow, so we size the pump and tank to match.

    Can I add features later?

Yes, if it is planned for. We can stub in plumbing and a footing for a future feature during the original build, which makes adding it later much cheaper than cutting into a finished pad.

    What activates the water?

You have three options: a push-button timer that runs for a set time, a ground sensor that starts the water when someone steps on it, or a post activator kids press to start the show. All of them shut the water off automatically so the system is not running when nobody is playing.
